Notice Concerning Business Alliance with Wazap! Operator Eastbeam

Vector Inc. (Head office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Nobuhiro Kajinami; “the Company”) and Eastbeam Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Meyer Uryu Timo; “Eastbeam”) have reached an agreement to form an alliance in the service of Wazap!, Japan’s largest game information site operated by Eastbeam.

Overview of the business alliance

Under the business alliance, Vector will, as required, combine various services it operates with the services of Wazap! provided by Eastbeam. Vector will provide free PC download games and free FLASH games, which are registered and made available to the public in the software download site Vector and the free FLASH game site FLIP!, for Wazap! Free Game corner that Eastbeam plans to open in late September.
Vector will also launch shortly new services that use contents from the Wazap! site in the Vector site.
Wazap! is a game information site that Eastbeam began to operate in November 2001, and is used by about six million people per month, totaling approximately 200 million page views, via PCs and mobile devices. Main services of Wazap! include a community function that enables users to exchange all kinds of game information such as tips and strategic hints, game-related news, a function that enables users to contribute videos, and the My Page function. One of the major features of Wazap! is that males between the ages of about 10 and 25 account for 70% of the users.
Meanwhile, 80% of Vector users are those in their late 20s or older. The two companies are positioning Wazap! as a promising media for those between the ages of about 10 and 25, and will jointly develop services in the fields of PCs and mobile devices and establish new earnings models in other fields by leveraging their strengths.
